Moma's Baby!

Yesterday when we were in Wal-Mart, you said "baby" and I looked around and didn't see a baby, so I said where's the baby? You pointed at yourself and said "Moma's baby". Awwwww, talk about melt my heart. Now everytime Daddy says, "are you Daddy's baby/boy?" you say "No! Moma!" I love it, love it, love it! All the changing dirty diapers and dealing with tantrums has finally paid off!

Where Did Daddy Go?

You've got a new phrase that you like to say now! It's, "Where Da-e go" (Where did Daddy go?). You are constantly asking me this, anytime that Daddy is out of site that is what I hear. Daddy was out of town today and you were playing with a phone and I told you daddy was on there, so you said "Da-e where you a?" (Daddy where are you at?) I told you to give Daddy kisses, so you started kissing all over the phone, it was so sweet. For some reason when I call you at Grammy's house, you won't talk to me. You are definetly becoming a little Daddy's Boy!

Muddy Tires!

Today, Daddy took you in his truck with the 4 wheeler to check out some land to ride on. Well, y'all got the truck stuck in the mud and had to have someone come pull you out. You must have had the time of your life, b/c when you got back, you kept saying "st" (stuck) "nu-e tars" (muddy tires). You were so excited you could barely catch your breath and just kept saying "st nu-e tars".

Edited to add: It is 5 days later now, and I still can't get you to quit talking about "nu-e tars"!

First Sentence

Today you said your first sentence that we could understand! We were watching Barney and there was a wagon with a bunch of balls in it and you said "Wha da?" (What's that) I said "a wagon" and you said "waon", I said "yep, wagon" and you pointed and said "See da balls in da waon?" (See the balls in the wagon?) Everyday, you just amaze me more and more at the things you do!

CHEESE!

A little story for you........ Daddy got Moma a camera for Christmas, and he wanted to show it to Nana, but he didn't want Moma to know what it was, so he made her go in the other room while he showed it to Nana. Well you were in there with them and you kept saying "cheese" b/c you wanted them to take your picture! So then Moma knew for sure what Daddy got her for Christmas (she already had a pretty good idea though).

Tractor

Today, you were playing your usual game of "Wha dis?" You were pointing at a bulldozer in a book and I said "I don't know, what is it?" fully expecting you to say "tars" (tires), b/c for some reason you LOVE tires and call everything with wheels on it "tars". I was so surprised when you responded "trator" (tractor). You are just getting too smart!

Good Manners, Favorite Phrases and Favorite Words

Your favorite phrase is "Wha dis?" (What's this?). Even if you know what it is, you still say "Wha dis?" I always reply with, "I don't know, what is it?" Well today, you told me"dinesaur" (dinosaur). I think that is such a big word for a little guy! Especially a little guy that about a month ago would only say the first syllable of a couple of words.

Your favorite word is NO! (I think that is a favorite word of most toddlers though.) Whenever I ask you something, you always respond with no, even if the answer should be yes. Today I was asking you questions that should have yes answers, you kept answering with your usual NO. Then I asked you if you wanted some candy and you said "pease" (please). I was trying to trick you and you tricked me, you little stinker!

When we went to Wal-Mart today, you were so funny. About the first 15 people that we saw, you said hey to. They would chuckle and tell you hey back. We ran into one guy a second time, and you told him hey for a second time, so he said "hey again"! When we got to the register, you were helping put the stuff up on the counter so that we could pay for it. You kept telling the cashier "here go" (here you go), she then told you thank you, so you said "you wel wel" (you're welcome). I was so proud of you and the cashier even commented on how good you were talking. I think that was the first conversation that you had with someone.

Edited to add: A few days after our trip to Wal-Mart, we went back and saw that same cashier and she said well, there's that polite little boy! I was so proud that you made such a good lasting impression on someone!
